| An Infection Control Management Expert from Aachen Luisen Hospital Visited Ningbo No.2 Hospital |

To promote the hospital’s infection management level, strengthen the cooperation and exchanges with international hospitals in infection control management, Christel Merten, a senior expert on infection control from Germany, visited Ningbo No.2 Hospital on 8th April, 2013. Mr. Cai Ting, head of the hospital took part in the academic exchange besides Mrs. Xu Jun, director of discipline inspection department of the hospital.
They held a meeting and organized staff members to attend it. Ms. Merten has been engaged in the management of hospital infection for 24 years, and currently serves as director of department of nosocomial infection management, Aachen Luisen hospital. She had animated discussions concerning infection control and disinfection technology with medical staffs.
Afterwards, Ms. Merten gave hand hygiene fluorescence detection apparatus to the hospital as a gift. This advanced apparatus has not yet sold in China by report. Ningbo No.2 hospital is the only one using it in medical institutions in Ningbo area.
In recent years, Ningbo No.2 Hospital has paid great attention to academic and technological exchange with other countries, especially in field of nosocomial infection management.
